Who may be affected?

Current and former FedEx employees, as well as any other individuals who used the washroom facilities at this location, may be affected.

How long is the alleged recording believed to have occurred?

The hidden camera is alleged to have been used for approximately two years.

Were any recordings allegedly posted online?

It is alleged that some of the recordings were uploaded to the internet, including to pornographic websites.

Who may be named as defendants in the proposed class action?

The proposed claim is expected to seek accountability from the individual who allegedly installed the camera, and from FedEx for its alleged failure to protect people using the washroom facilities.

What should someone who may be affected do now?

Affected individuals should look after their wellbeing, preserve relevant information, avoid detailed public statements about their circumstances, and contact Segev LLP.

Segev LLP is investigating a proposed class action on behalf of current and former FedEx employees, and other individuals, who used the washroom facilities at the FedEx Ground facility located at 6849 – 72 Street, Delta, British Columbia, and who may have been secretly recorded.

What Is Alleged to Have Happened at the FedEx Ground Facility?

It is alleged that an individual installed a hidden camera, reportedly concealed inside a garbage can, in a women’s washroom stall at the FedEx Ground facility located at 6849 – 72 Street, Delta, British Columbia, and used it to secretly record women without their knowledge or consent for approximately two years.

It is further alleged that some of the recordings were later uploaded to the internet, including to pornographic websites, and circulated in private messaging groups.

According to Delta Police, an employee suspected of this conduct was arrested on July 7, 2026, and released on conditions pending further investigation. Media reports indicate that at least six women have identified recordings of themselves online, and that more than twenty women have come forward seeking legal support in connection with this matter.

It has also been reported across the media that concerns about this individual’s conduct were raised with FedEx management on multiple occasions over approximately two years before the matter became public, and that those concerns were not acted upon.

These allegations raise serious concerns about privacy, personal safety, workplace security, and the responsibilities of organizations that provide facilities for employees and other individuals. The allegations have not yet been proven in court.

What Would the Proposed Class Action Seek to Address?

The proposed class action is expected to seek accountability from the individual who allegedly installed and operated the hidden camera, as well as from FedEx for its alleged failure to protect employees and other individuals using the washroom facilities at the Delta location.

The claim will allege, among other things, that FedEx knew, or reasonably ought to have known, about the risk and failed to implement adequate security, monitoring, and supervision measures. It will also allege that FedEx failed to respond appropriately after the alleged conduct came to light.

Through a proposed class action, affected individuals may be able to pursue their shared legal claims in one proceeding rather than each person being required to start a separate lawsuit.

Where We Are in the Process

Segev LLP is currently in the process of filing the Notice of Civil Claim in this class proceeding, which will officially commence the lawsuit. We expect this to be completed shortly, and will post an update as soon as it has been filed.

What Is a Class Action?

A class action is a legal proceeding in which one person, known as the Representative Plaintiff, brings a claim on behalf of a larger group of people who have the same or similar legal claims against one or more defendants. This larger group is referred to as the Class.

A class action can allow common issues to be addressed together in a single court proceeding, which can provide a more practical process where many individuals may have been affected by the same alleged conduct.

Before a proposed class action can proceed on behalf of the entire group, the Court must grant permission for it to continue as a class action, a process known in British Columbia as certification. If the proceeding is certified, the Court will appoint a Representative Plaintiff and determine how the Class will be defined. Any person who meets the Court-approved definition may become a Class Member.
